摘要
We test for discrimination against immigrants in the consumer market in Spain by sending emails from fictitious buyers to sellers in a popular Spanish second-hand market web page randomly signalling different ethnicities. In an environment where the interaction between agents is low and the probability of default is minimal, buyers with foreign names are less likely to receive a response than those with Spanish names, even for relatively cheap goods.
