Dense submicron-grained Ce0.8Gd0.2O2-δ ceramics for SOFC applications

摘要
Coprecipitated Ce0.8Gd0.2O2-delta powder was treated via a dry milling process, which led to (1) a larger specific surface area with weak agglomeration, (2) the rearrangement of grains into dense granules, and (3) a higher green density. These effects significantly reduced sintering temperatures and promoted densification of ceria-based ceramics. (C) 2004 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
