摘要
A dimeric ruthenium (II)-arene precursor containing a 2-hydroxyethoxy moiety tethered to the arene was reacted with a series of monomeric and dimeric iminopyridyl and salicylaldimine Schiff-base ligands to produce a series of new neutral and cationic mono- and binuclear Ru(II)-arene complexes. All the complexes were characterised using various spectroscopic and analytical techniques including H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR and FT-IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
