Superparamagnetic regime in gamma-Fe2O3 nanoparticle systems; Effect of the applied magnetic field

摘要
Zero field cooled magnetization measurements have been performed under low applied fields on samples of gamma-Fe2O3 particles dispersed in a polymer matrix. Samples of particle mean diameter < D > = 10.1, 6.9 and 4.6 nm, with different volume concentration, were studied in two measurement geometries respectively H-parallel to and H-perpendicular to to the sample surface. The superparamagnetic regime was analysed through a Curie-Weiss type law. The results for the superparamagnetic Curie temperatures show a strong variation with H-app, which seems independent of the interactions between particles.
