摘要
In this paper, a new multi-band microstrip patch antenna design is proposed for space application operating at Ku band from (10 GHz to 15 GHz). The antenna is designed using RF4 substrate that is characterized by a permittivity equal to 4.3, and by a thickness equal to 1.5 mm. The simulation results of our proposed antenna are presented in terms of the return loss for signal transmitting and receiving, the VSWR is less than 2, the gain variation form (8.41 dBi to 9.65 dBi), and multi bandwidth. The investigation and analysis are performed for satellite applications. In particular, for Ku band application. For parameters studies, we coupled the antenna design with another new constant high dielectric superstrate that is used to increase the broadside gain. We show that this antenna is a good candidate for a high-gain Ku band application.
