Teaching in the Network Society: analysis of the digital competences of students in Education at the University of Cadiz

摘要
In the Network Society, the way that the knowledge is conceived, disseminated and builted requires rethinking of teacher training towards a more relational approach coherent with the complex sociocultural dynamism in which we live (Piscitelli, 2006). The current teaching staff presents new training demands coherent with the needs of a student living in and with the digital. The students of the Degrees in education face the double challenge of being citizens and digital trainers. This goes through the training and development of digital skills. This article presents a project for teaching innovation at the University of Cadiz. The University is the institution responsible to prepare about the new ways of teaching and learning. The project has two main objectives: knowing, analyzing and understanding the digital competences (e-competences) of the students of the Degrees in Infant Education and in Primary Education as future teachers and proposing methodological strategies to improve the profile of the future teacher about the demands of the digital society. The study is carried out through the analysis of the curriculum of the Degree in Primary Education and Degree in Infant Education and the files of the subjects that make up in relation to digital competence; questionnaire and application of a questionnaire addressed to the students of these Degrees. The results come to demystify the competencies of millennial students.
