摘要
The aim of the present study was the recovery of nickel from waste electrical and electronic equipment and particularly, from cathode ray tubes. The major nickel sources in cathode ray tubes are the electron gun and the nickel containing shadow mask. For the nickel recovery tests, the metallic components were chemically (H2SO4, HCl, FeCl3 aqueous solutions) and electrochemically (H2SO4, HCl, NaCl aqueous solutions) solubilised. The obtained solutions were treated for selective nickel/iron separation. The resulted solutions were used for the electrowinning of nickel or nickel-iron alloys.
