摘要
This paper proposes a new pulse power supply to generate highly stabilized high magnetic fields (ripple <= 10ppm), which are needed for some kinds of scientific experiments (like the NMR experiment). In order to generate a high magnetic field (more than 50 Tesla), the power supply needs to provide a more than 10kA pulse current to the magnet, so the required capability of the power supply is very large. The power supply presented in this paper consists of a Pulse Forming Network (PFN) and a power electronics device. The PFN which is made up of a LC network provides a basic current (90%-99% of the total current), the power electronics device is to refine the flattop of the current wave to get a highly stabilized magnetic wave. The cost of the whole power supply is low if it is properly designed.
