The accurate calculation of the Fourier transform of the pure Voigt function

摘要
In this paper, the strict and accurate theoretical calculation of the Fourier transform of the pure Voigt function is presented, without any approximation, which is very important for the optimal optical detection of upper atmospheric wind measurement by passive techniques. The two-point Gauss-Hermit orthogonal algorithm is widely used and is thought to be the best approximation of the pure Voigt function up to the present, so to show the accuracy of the result, we then compare the result with the result obtained by a two-point Gauss-Hermit orthogonal algorithm, and we find that the difference between them is only about 10(-6) cm, which shows that the result of the pure Voigt function is more precise. Finally, we point out its significance for upper atmosphere wind measurement.
