摘要
The self-assembly behavior of mixed systems consisting of sodium fatty alcohol ether sulfate (AE3S) and the conventional cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) is investigated. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS), and small-angle x-ray diffraction (XRD) have been utilized to characterize the microstructures of AE3S/CTAB mixtures in aqueous solutions. Spherical vesicles are formed spontaneously in the AE3S/CTAB mixed systems. The results indicate that these surfactants have excellent efficiencies of vesicle formation and surface tension reduction in the aqueous phase.
