摘要
This paper deals with the development of language skills among academics of VSB-Technical University of Ostrava in an LMS Moodle e-learning environment with regard to individual learning styles while learning a foreign language. A student's individual learning style plays an essential role in effective foreign language acquisition. E-learning forms of education have arrived at the Department of Languages at the VSB-Technical University of Ostrava and we have decided to implement this tool into English Language Teaching (ELT). Using various forms of e-learning (e.g. with or without a tutor, through blended learning, testing or in a combination of those methods) we further intend to verify, optimize and finally implement these new forms of education into the practice of teaching English for specific purposes, mainly for technical fields. The paper further describes the objective of providing an adaptive e-learning environment respecting the types of students with regard to their preferred learning styles with a narrower focus on the perceptual preferences of the presented curriculum. This e-learning environment will be developed in accordance with the Common European Framework of References for Languages and its key language competencies.
