摘要
Paper scientifically substantiates the basic criteria in designing the chemical composition of stainless steels 17-4 P.H. with controlled transformation. All the new designed steels for hydraulic turbines are compulsory tested to cavitation erosion in two states: putting into solution quenching followed by refrigeration and aging through tempering or putting into solution quenching followed by primary and secondary aging. In this research, after cavitation erosion tests, the specimens were investigated with electronic microscopy in order to obtain more information about the erosion mechanism through the implosion of cavitation bubbles.
