IS/IT performance measurement system: Literature review and a comparative study

this paper argues that information system (IS) has a significant impact on organizational performance and strategic growth. In fact, organizations year after year have increased their spending on Information Technology (IT) and IT managers are continually asked to justify those investments, this only increase the need of a complete model that allow them to evaluate the performance of their IS. The theme of IS/IT performance measurement have been discussed among practitioners and academics from different perspectives and many IS/IT performance measurement models have been introduced in literature. This paper presents most cited models that were introduced to evaluate and assess whether all or some aspects of IS/IT performance and suggests a comparative study of IT/IS performance measurement models according to those perspectives.
