摘要
The development of HgCdTe-alloy and -superlattice array detectors for astronomical applications in the lambda = 50-150 mum band is discussed in light of NASA mission requirements over the next decade. High background observations on the SOFIA aircraft and planetary probes are identified for initial applications.
