摘要
Human development does not focus on external aspects of life. With regards to the nature of human beings, internal development is the vital contributor in the development of human resource. Various methods of developing the spiritual potential have been done to ensure quality human resource. Religions teach human beings to manage one's strength. Therefore, the role of religions cannot be marginalized. Religions teach mankind to purify themselves from sinful attitudes. In a way, noble values will prevail. The purification of self is important. With regards to one's religions' strength and guidance, quality human resources could be produced. Every religion has their methodology to purify the soul. Thus, there are differences and similarities to these methods. This presentation will highlight the role of concept of niat in Islam and the right intention in Buddha's teaching toward developing human resource. The part on similarities and differences will be highlighted.
