摘要
The aim of this study was to validate the Myths Scale toward Love in an adolescent sample, and to test if there are gender related differences with myths. The total sample was made up of 800 secondary school students, 421 girls and 387 boys. The mean age was 15.98 (SD = 1.53) years old. Confirmatory factor analysis shows good fit indexes for the seven items version, grouped within two dimensions (myth of idealized love and myth of abusive love). The scale's reliability is adequate (.70 and .86), and overall it has good psychometric properties. Furthermore, girls have shown a more idealized vision of love than boys, which is related with benevolent sexism; while boys have shown more acceptance with the abuser myth, which is related with hostile sexism.
