摘要
British fictions in 19th century have made outstanding achievement in the British fiction history. Several female writers have shaped a series of female images in their works. Though with different figures, they have something in common. Firstly, most of them are from middle or lower social class and they are familiar with the lifestyle of ordinary people. Secondly, these female images have some functions of moral education due to the influence of historical background. And the last is that they harvest or have pity in the dilemma of selection between sense and sensibility as well as wealth and marriage.
