摘要
To what extent did the will to establish a navy during Louis XIVth's reign modify France's manufacturing geography? How deeply did the responses brought to the needs of shipyards for raw material and manufactured products redesign the economic hierarchy of the provinces and of the kingdom's "pays"? Confronted with these questions, the analysis attempts to show that the share kept by imports, natural conditions, and the difficulties facing the merchant traffic all constituted obstacles to decisive changes, even if, goaded by the orders placed by the State at war, Burgundy, Franche-Comte, Dauphine and the Angoumois developed as key regions in the production process.
