This report is the result of an experiment in the initial training of science teachers that aimed to seek the link between the activity of teaching and research in Science Education in carrying out activities that promote the apprehension of future teachers, preparation and communication of knowledge science from four dimensions: Know (theoretical knowledge related to the object of study in Science Education), Do (doings of a researcher) and Being and Living (ethical attitudes and policies of a researcher). Also discussed are issues related to the function of written and oral communication in the production of scientific knowledge for dialogue among a group of investigators, encouraging and valuing the authors in dialogue with other authors. Thus, selecting articles published in scientific journals and conferences, read, interpret, produce and communicate research in science teaching has been the practice of undergraduate students and undergraduate course in biological sciences, the discipline of Stage IV in the Regional University Blumenau, SC, Brazil, since 2008. In this experiment it was found that students, mostly attended the objective. It was possible to see during the construction of each stage of the experiment. This is basically consisted of the following steps: 1 Recognition and Event Databases for Research in Science Education, 2nd-Reading, analysis and preparation of summaries of research, 3rd-Reading, analysis and sharing of research papers 4th Definition of an object of study for research in Science Education 5th - Elaboration and implementation of the 6th research - Drafting of the article and 7th - Seminar on socialization. The results have shown that the proposal is feasible in the initial training of teachers, it has contributed to the students of Biological Sciences who opt for graduate perceive another dimension to the educational practice, besides teaching, with the option to develop and pursue research post-graduation in science teaching. Also contributing to broaden the discussion of the conceptual contents, procedures and attitudes that are included in the National Curriculum Parameters, guiding the curricula of schools in Brazil. For students who elect an alternative undergraduate areas of work of biologist, experience has cooperated to value this area of research, to participate in events related to Education in submitting their papers, as well as inspiration for the work of completion. Thus, it was found that this experience contributed to the future teacher of Science and Biology in order to encourage him to continue, with autonomy, their training in scientific research seeking to update, discussion and possible transmission of your teaching practice.
