摘要
Two cherry rootstocks, 'CAB 6P' and 'SL 64', were micropropagated in a commercial tissue culture laboratory. Their performance in the nursery and in the orchard (northern Greece) was tested after grafting with four sweet cherry varieties. The multiplication ratio was 2.5 to 3.0 for 'CAB 6P' and 4.0 to 5.0 for 'SL 64'. The percentage of rooting was 80 to 85% and 90 to 95% for 'CAB 6P' and ISL 64', respectively. Both rootstocks performed extremely well during acclimation and in the nursery, showing rapid growth, successful grafting and no incompatibility problems with the tested varieties in the first 5 years after planting in the orchard.
