摘要：
Image retrieval has emerged as an important issue in multimedia database management. Many image retrieval methods have been proposed. In this paper, we present an efficient content-based image retrieval scheme based on gradient features. The proposed scheme extracts the gradient information of images to be the local information and then applies the gradient information to construct a gradient co-occurrence matrix to be the global information for image retrieval. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme can obtain satisfactory results.
