Investigation on photocatalytic oxidation of SO2 on ZnO ultrafine particles

摘要
The oxidation of gas-phase SO2 over ZnO by the technique of photocatalysis was investigated. It was found that under a certain condition, the photocatalytic oxidation rate of SO2 over ZnO ultrafine particles ( U FP) is higher. Particularly, the photocatalytic oxidation rate of SO2 over ZnO U FP calcined at 320degreesC is 99%. The influence of some factors, such as 02 partial pressure and steam partial pressure, on the photocatalytic oxidation of SO2 was studied. The gas and liquid product SO3 was qualitatively analysed by using chemical method, and the reaction kinetics and the reaction mechanism of the reaction were also probed into.
