摘要
A six-year-old cat was presented with a two-day history of anorexia and drooling saliva. Clinical examination revealed severe ulceration of the outer margin of the tongue, the upper lips, and the ventral surface of the hard and soft palates. History suggested a diagnosis of chemical burns associated with a cleaning agent containing benzalkonium chloride. Supportive therapy consisted of fluids, antibiotics and oral potassium supplementation. The cat was greatly improved after three days of therapy, and was completely recovered after 10 days.
