CURRICULUM AND CULTURE IN YOUTH AND ADULT EDUCATION: THE STATE OF KNOWLEDGE OF THE PRODUCTIONS IN GRADUATE PROGRAMS IN BRAZIL

摘要
The objective of this article is to present what has been researched on curriculum and culture in Youth and Adult Education (YAE) through a mapping of the Theses and Dissertations developed in post-Graduation programs in Brazil on curriculum and culture in YAE. For the operationalization of the study, we surveyed the entire production available in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of the Coordenacao de Aperfeicoamento de Pessoal de Nivel Superior (CAPES) and the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) of the Institute Brasileiro de Informacao em Ciencia e Tecnologia (IBICT), without using temporal demarcation. As for the epistemological view employed, we used the understanding of bibliographic research of the state of the knowledge type as a methodological perspective. Next, after surveying and analyzing the results, we obtained 16 productions, among theses and dissertations, which were analyzed in their entirety and, later, categorized in a quantitative and qualitative way. Finally, we found that the themes "curriculum policies" and "curriculum and training" were the most recurrent among the selected studies. Considering the categories listed, we present a qualitative analysis in order to integrate the results of the productions. Thus, we can observe that the results indicate that the productions on curriculum, culture and EJA have several intersections with different research objects, but always present aspects that are similar, such as the struggle for a proper curriculum for EJA and the formation of critical and reflective subjects about the concrete reality that surrounds them.
