摘要
The reactions between Al4O4C and N-2 at a high temperature and at reduced pressures were researched using the products with a high content of Al4O4C from the carbothermal reduction of alumina as the raw material. The final products were characterized by XRD. It was demonstrated that Al4O4C decomposed into gaseous species at high temperatures and then a part of them reacted with N-2 to form a series of compounds containing N, namely AlN, Al5O6N, and the other part of them reacted with each other to form Al, Al2O3, C, Al4O4C, andAl(4)C(3). At low enough temperatures, the reactions of the gaseous species with N-2 could not occur again.
