摘要
BACKGROUND: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the influence of Tai Chi Chuan exercise on immune function in patients with type 2 diabetes. METHODS: The method of self-contrast was used to obtain the changes of immune function before and after Tai Chi Chuan exercise. RESULTS: Alexin C3, interleukin-2 (IL-2) and CD4+ T cell increased as expected (P<0.05), whereas soluble interleukin receptor (S-IL-2R) levels dropped significantly (P<0.05), and no changes occurred in CD4+/CD8+ ratio. CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest that Tai Chi Chuan exercise contributes to improve immune function in type 2 diabetes patients.
