摘要:
This paper offers a comparison between Hume's characterizations of enthusiasm and superstition in the essay entitled Of superstition and enthusiasm (1742) on the one hand and in his History of England (1754-1761) on the other This comparison shows that Hume's historical study of religious crisis led him to complexify, and sometimes to amend, his former philosophical enquiry upon these two religious passions.
