摘要
The purpose of the study was to characterize the learning effect of the Nintendo Wii Agility test as performed repetitively by a population of community-dwelling older people with no recent history of falls. 35 older adults participated in this study and each performed 10 trials of the Agility test, with rest-periods of 30 seconds between tests, in a single session. Results showed that to achieve an estimation error of <= 5% in the Agility test at least five repetitions were needed. Additionally, the minimum effect size that could be measured using the Agility test was determined for the number of repetitions in the test. The test is easy to perform, inexpensive, and is feasible to implement in a clinical setting.
