We report the first enantioselective total syntheses of cedrelin A and methylated paralycolin B, wherein Pd-catalyzed asymmetric intramolecular Friedel-Crafts allylic alkylation of phenols was the key step. (C) 2013 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
