摘要
This paper presents a mathematical modelling of bio-oil production with the fast pyrolysis process. The Arrhenius equation and kinetic modelling were used in order to predict bio-oil production. From a modelling study, it was determined that the residence time of a process can be approximated by slip velocity in the plug flow mode which is between 0.83-1.31 seconds. The results showed that the temperature of the particles and the time residence of the process had had a significant effect on bio-oil production. Temperature and residence time are major parameters that can be used to calculate bio-oil yield. The parameters, affording maximum of bio-oil production, were found to be a temperature of 753 degrees K and a time of 0.83 seconds. This result was in accordance with the experimental results.
