Solid solvates of C60 with halobenzenes

In an effort to improve the understanding of the dissolution properties of C60 in aromatic solvents, binary systems of C60 with fluorobenzene, clorobenzene, bromobenzene and iodobenzene were studied, using differential scanning calorimetry. Solid solvates were identified in some of this systems. Each of them was characterized by the temperature and the enthalpy of the incongruent melting transition Dramatic influence of the formation of solid solvates on the solubility of C60 in corresponding solvents was shown.
