摘要
Fundamental radiation reactions induced in polymers by high-energy electron beam radiation are described. Structural modifications like crosslinking and degradation are indicated. The mechanism and the reactions occurring in PE, especially in PE upper layers, and in PP and PET are discussed in more detail. Possible radiation control of mechanical properties of polymers is discussed.
