摘要：

This paper is interested in the sensitive and neglected issue sex discrimination. It analyzes the textbook New Horizon College English in the method of qualitative research and text analysis. The findings show the features of Gender role; professional identity and recessive sex discrimination. The paper tries to find out the reasons and give some expects in improving English textbooks.
