摘要
The origin of the promoting effect of ZnCl2 on CH3ReO3 supported on gamma-Al2O3, resulting in a dramatic increase in its olefin metathesis activity, was investigated by elemental analysis, IR, NMR, EXAFS, and active site counting. Dispersed ZnCl2 enables the formation of more numerous Re active sites, which themselves have higher per-site activities. These sites also possess Re-Cl interactions.
