摘要
Outer rotor motor is more suitable for unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) driving system in which the outer rotor motor is used as in-wheel motor. However, the outer rotor more usually suffers severe thermal condition as the limits of geometry or assembly. This paper analyzed the thermal performance of the outer rotor model using lumped parameter method. In lumped parameter method, the thermal resistance of different parts of the motor was calculated and the mean temperature rising was evaluated. A layered slot liner model was adopted in lumped parameter method and the thermal distributions were calculated. At last the accuracy of the method has been verified by compared to test results.
