Variation or the ratio between the concentrations of Fe(2+) and Fe(3+) ions in leaching of pyrrhotine with acid sulfate solutions containing HNO(2) was studied for the example of the oxidation of iron(II) with molecular oxygen, which widely occurs in the nature and is widely used in hydrometallurgy.
