THE INFLUENCE OF FLAME RETARDANT ADDITIVES ON FIRE PROPERTIES OF EPOXY MATERIALS

摘要
Fire properties of modified and unmodified epoxy materials have been studied. The following types of additives were used: MoO3, Sb2O3, melamine. Heat and smoke release rates in different external fluxes (30, 50 kW/m(2)) were studied by the Cone calorimeter, The results of investigation have shown that molibdenum oxide (VI) is more smoke supressant than antimony oxide (III) and melamine in the range of heat exposure under consideration.
