Research Fusion of Paper-cut and Animation Courses-Based on RuiChang Paper-cut

Paper-cut is one of the most distinctive forms of inherited Chinese folk arts. As a local characteristic culture, Ruichang paper cutting is an intangible cultural heritage in Jiangxi Province. This paper aims to draw representative elements from Ruichang paper-cutting art and culture so as to combine them with animation courses in higher education, discuss how Ruichang paper-cutting artistic and cultural elements can go with animation courses in view of animation style design, scene design, and character composition, make active exploration on integration of Ruichang paper-cutting traditional techniques and modem cartoon design methods, as well as carry out blending, mining, and exploration of Ruichang paper-cutting and animation courses for the purpose of application in animation teaching, which will not only carry forward local cultures but also enrich teaching contents and improve students' interest in learning.
