Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and Property of a Ce(IV) Complex Based on 2,2′-(ethane-1,2-diyl)bis(1H-imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid)

摘要
A new complex with the formula [Ce(SO4)(H(2)ebidc)(1/2)(H2O)(5)](n) (1) has been synthesized through the self-assembly of Ce(SO4)(2) with N-Heterocyclic carboxylic acid 2,2-(ethane-1,2-diyl)bis(1H-imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid) (H(6)ebidc). Single-crystal X-ray diffraction determination shows that complex 1 possesses an infinite 2-D grid network structure in which both the tetradentate H(2)ebidc(4-) group and SO2- (4) anion coordinate to Ce(IV) ions in bridging mode. The adjacent layers are connected through the hydrogen bonds resulting in a three-dimensional packing structure in the solid state. In addition, the luminescent property has been investigated.
