摘要
Objectives: The aim of the study was to evaluate the mode of delivery after previous cesarean section (CS), maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality. Study Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of 406 patients with a history of previous CS who delivered at our Institute during 1999-2000. Results: We had 2164 CS during the study period. There were 406 patients with previous CS: 346(85.2%) delivered by elective repeat CS and 60(14.8%) underwent a trial of labor. Conclusion: We delivered vaginally only 7.9% of our patients with a history of previous CS. We should encourage a trial of labor after adequate patient's selection and with careful fetal/maternal monitoring during the trial of labor.
