Longitudinal rectification of chiral self-propelled particles induced by the transversal asymmetry

摘要
We numerically investigate the rectification transport of chiral self-propelled particles in a two-dimensional (2D) upper-lower asymmetric channel. The chiral particles perform a sliding movement along the walls due to the confinement of the channel. The longitudinal rectification can occur in the upper-lower asymmetric channel. In presence of a transverse force, the longitudinal rectification may be reduced or enhanced by the competition or the cooperation between the force and the channel asymmetry. A possible application for separating particles of different chiralities is also presented.
