The life scientist's professional activity is much more than just laboratory work. Information search and retrieval and later communication of conclusions are important and substantial matters. How to manage knowledge is essential for the future scientific or technological careers of college students. Nevertheless, knowledge management is overlooked in many life sciences undergraduate courses. In this work, the main topics of knowledge management to be included in the curriculum of life sciences courses are presented, including (1) location and retrieval of relevant information, (2) communication of the produced knowledge, and (3) scientific work assessment.
