摘要：
A simple and solvent-free synthesis of some cinnamic acid derivatives 2(a-i) in high yields was developed using microwave irradiation of an aryl aldehyde and malonic acid with polyphosphate ester (PPE) being used as a reaction mediator and catalyst. H-1 NMR and IR spectroscopy together with elemental analysis data were used for structural assignment of the synthesized compounds.
