13C and 23Na solid-state NMR spectra of organosodium compounds;: Part II

For three organosodium complexes, diphenylmethyl sodium (tmeda) (1), diphenylmethylsodium (pmdta) (2), and fluorenylsodium (tmpda) (3), C-13 and Na-23 solid state NMR spectra have been measured for the first time. They were analysed in terms of chemical shifts delta(C-13) and delta(Na-23) as well as Na-23 quadrupole coupling constants, chi(Na-23). Due to non-equivalent Na-23 atoms in the unit cell MQS-MAS spectra were used to resolve the individual Na-23 resonances. The sensitivity of the NMR parameters for the structural features of the complexes is demonstrated.
