摘要
The aim of this paper is to present comparative analysis of possible strengthening of masonry wall with two different approaches: with steel grid and damper and with RC panels with FRC dowels. For both proposed approaches, advantages and well as disadvantages are presented. The model compounded from n-link elements and fined elements is used for the model of the masonry wall. Such model is possible to apply in most commercial software for general purpose use. It is possible to simulate the wall rocking, sliding and toe crushing with developed model. Both types of strengthening are applied afterwards, as staged construction. Strengthenings are modelled with nonlinear n-link elements. The results of the investigation show that the crucial influence on quality of the strengthening systems has the choice of the stiffness of elements which need to provide adequate strengthening of the wall.
