摘要
The hexacyanoferrate(II) ion ([Fe(CN)(6)](4-)) was rapidly oxidized to [Fe(CN)(6)](3-) by a radical anion, I-2(-.), which was formed by a reaction between the copper(II) ion and the iodide ion. The oxidation reaction was accelerated by increasing the pH. Under the conditions of lower pH's, the [Fe(CN)(6)](3-) acted as a retarder to the oxidation reaction. The mechanisms for such reactions are discussed in terms of accounting for the obtained results.
