Incorporating GIS in the business curriculum: An education experience with information technologies and a global perspective

摘要
The business educators of California State University, Fullerton discuss the experiences and challenges of a four-stage plan to use GIS as an educational tool. We explain how this GIS project can integrate advances in information technologies and global perspectives in the business curriculum. Student evaluations of the initial effort surveyed issues affecting the success of using GIS in the business classroom. We outline steps, based on insights gained from an experimental classroom, for improving further project implementation.
