摘要
A novel anticorrosive material poly(2,3-dimethylaniline)/nano-SiO2 composite (PSC) was synthesized by in situ polymerization using nano-SiO2 particles to modify poly(2,3-dimethylaniline) (P(2,3-DMA)). The structure was characterized via Fourier transform infrared spectra and X-ray diffraction. The thermal stability and electrochemical performances were characterized by thermogravimetric analysis and cyclic voltammetry measurements. The results indicated that there was an certain interaction existed between P(2,3-DMA) and nano-SiO2 particles, the thermal stability and electrochemical performances of PSC was much better than that of P(2,3-DMA). Epoxy coating containing P(2,3-DMA) and PSC were painted on steel respectively, and accelerated immersion tests were performed to evaluate the anticorrosion properties of these coatings in 3.5% NaCl solution. The results show that the anticorrosion property of PSC coating is better than that of P(2,3-DMA). (C) 2013 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
