Communicating Architecture - Activities, Actions, Exercises, Mission Statements

Architecture design field is at least very complex to investigate as local or global implications. The article proposes a brief presentment of communicating architecture through relevant society exhibit: activities, actions, exercises and mission statements. These result from applications of the profession that are very diverse, from the practitioners to star-architects and brand makers, educators and mentors, activists and thinkers, researchers and innovators. Not at all unimportant are the applications of architects in art, literature, sociology, policies, photography and film, design or fashion. And also, the architects have many proveniences: from educated, university formed specialists, to newcomers in the field from other nonrelated domains, and also self-educated, autodidacts. From programmatic actions, understanding reasons of participatory, to good practice and provocateur motion exercises, communicating architecture was a target, but also a debate of ideas in which critics and professionals have sharp pencils. From theories and mission statements point of view, the targets were various and successively explained, and some notions have been found in developing different installation exercises and justifying a way or another in defining communication and applicability beyond the main field, in a global elucidate trans-architecture.
