摘要
The boundary-layer flow in a viscous non-Newtonian fluid containing over a nonlinear stretching sheet is analyzed. The stretching velocity is assumed to vary as a power function of the distance from the origin. The governing partial differential equation and auxiliary conditions are reduced to nonlinear ordinary differential equation with the appropriate corresponding conditions. The properties and nonexistence of the solutions to the boundary value problem are examined. The resulting nonlinear ordinary differential equation is solved numerically with a Chebyshev spectral method. On the base of our calculations, the effects of various parameters, namely, the power-lawexponent, the MHD, and the nonlinear stretching parameter on the dimensionless velocity gradient at the wall, are discussed.
